Spring Forward!

Hey there everyone, hope Spring comes early to you wherever you are!!

Sorry if you've been looking for updates on my blog. I guess I'm not the blogger I had hoped I would be. Isn't that a surprise! I do have a good excuse though :) If there is any such thing.

I have been busy in the production stage. Time is passing quickly and the Ottawa Guild of Potters' Spring Exhibition and Sale is coming up. I am in full preparation mode. It will be my first time exhibiting at the sale! So I am not completely sure how much product I need. I have been successful in producing between 20 and 30 pieces a week for a few weeks now.

Some of my time has been spent experimenting which equals a lot of time spent with little or no good results!!!  But, practice makes perfect!  Right? The first few times attempting a new design the work usually flops!  At least for me. I have to keep reminding myself just as I have reminded my children, many times, don't expect things to be perfect the first time you try. That is really quite an important thing to remember. Even as adults we will try something and somehow we expect immediate success!! Does that sound familiar? We can be so hard on ourselves.  So I hereby give you permission to try something new AND fail! Just pick up the pieces and do it again.
