Time to start filling those shelves again!

Can't believe January is almost over! It's time to get moving on filling up those shelves again. These bowls are drying a little before I can carve them. I have to watch closely this time of year as the air gets a little dryer and it gets much colder and my pots dry very quickly. If I don't pay close attention the pots will dry too much to carve. Then I have to go to plan B! Been there, done that!!

After these are carved they will go into a kiln for the first firing, the bisque firing. The next steps are waxing then glazing, then the final and last firing which is called the glaze firing. That's when I cross my fingers and hope that everything comes out MY WAY :)

Alot of work for a few bowls you might say but it's very rewarding when they come out just right. Next, to put them on the shelves for future shows or pack them up and send them off. Not an easy feat but one that I enjoy all the same.
